PantoneLIVE is a cloud-based architecture that enables digital specification and communication of Pantone standards to all stakeholders in the global supply chain. With centralized digital color standards and spectral values, everyone accesses and utilizes the same Pantone color libraries creating unsurpassed color consistency and a new way to manage, and communicate color.
Pantone LIVE is the X-Rite Pantone EcoSystem's central hub for managing all Pantone colors and those from private brand owners. All X-Rite and Pantone apps access colors from Pantone LIVE, which operates on a cloud-based architecture. It facilitates digital specification and communication of Pantone standards to all stakeholders within the global supply chain. Pantone Live consists of three main APIs:
Public API, built using .NET Core 8, is the most widely used API globally, both internally and externally. This API is used internally by Autura, Pantone Connect, and Visualizer and is consumed by external brand organizations.
Private API v1, also developed with .Net Core 8, is used by external Pantone/XRite applications.
Private API v2 is implemented with .NET Core 8 and is currently being used only by Private Library Manager.
Other supporting services that PantoneLIVE serves and which plan an important role in whole color and palette processing are:
Job Service is the most critical service for processing CXF files in PantoneLIVE. It is responsible for processing all CXFs from different systems, such as IFS, ColorCert, etc.
Scheduler Service - set of cron jobs that run independently to ensure maintained, updated and synchronized system.
Admin panel - for easy, visible monitoring and control user access, and data management.
SSO Integration - integrates with the SSO (Single Sign-On) system, allowing users to log in with the X-Rite account they use for other X-Rite apps.
Color management and color files processing - ensures correct color management such as uploading, deleting or updating colors throughout processed color files done by the job service.
Custom file export - ability to export color data in different formats such as .cxf, .xlsx, .ase, .aco, .csv, .pl1, .pdf, etc.
Versioning and Environment Support - versioning is strictly controlled during the deployment process to ensure that the correct version of the API is deployed on the servers
